The Palace Cinema - Malton Web Site.  New prices from June. Seat refurbishement of the back two rows delayed until September

Some news - the new web site and online booking proceeds to a conclusion thanks to Ian Davies. Also in June the back two rows of seats are to be refurbished where people have damaged them by putting their shoes up and crushed the fabric. We will be having some cushions put on these back rows to improve comfort. We will also have some Booster Cushions for the smaller guests at the cinema. This work will bring about a much needed improvement back to the standard we started out with. We will have to accept the behaviour of people and so protective strips will be put on the corners of the fabric to protect it. 

Thank you to John Greenway for his hard work on the cinema's behalf.  The Cinema Exhibitors Association is now looking at energy provision for all cinemas. 

[A personal message from Jeremy - the cinema is  stuck in what I feel is a less than competitive contract with e-on (was Powergen) for a year - please vote with your account and leave e-on (was Powergen) - they operate sharp business practice aimed at retaining customers and not on their best terms!

We may be small and local but we are well connected. If you have an Orange phone you can use your Orange Wednesday ticket with us. 

Bookings.

On line booking is on it's way. 

In the meantime we have to operate our telephone system. we get a fair amount of "grief" from people who are unable to comprehend that we aim for a 100%. To that end we have a new booking system. However we must still close bookings an hour before, to guarantee we get the bookings onto the seats in time. So, please book the night before to avoid disappointment. We open the box office about half an hour before the first show time. So by the nature of the system if we are not open we cannot manage to get bookings printed, and put onto seats at the same time as serving the people who are coming in to the start of the film. So, please book the night before to avoid disappointment. On line booking is on its way.
